- Tuesday, 7 March 2017 (All day) - Thursday, 9 March 2017 (All day)
- Melbourne Cricket Ground
- Bruton Avenue
The Australian Logistics Council (ALC) Forum 2017 will focus on the issues identified in ALC’s election priorities document, Getting the Supply Chain Right.
Headlining the 29 recommendations in the document is the development of a National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy; an initiative that was embraced by Infrastructure Australia in its Australian Infrastructure Plan, released in February 2016.
The need for a National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy was highlighted in ALC’s video, Now is the Time to Get the Supply Chain Right, launched at Parliament House in September 2016, with the Hon Darren Chester MP, Minister for Infrastructure & Transport, in attendance. The video features eight executives from Australia’s top logistics organisations discussing the economic and social benefits of safe and efficient supply chains.
ALC Forum 2017 will therefore discuss and debate the issues that need to be identified and addressed in the proposed National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy.
