The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has congratulated Julie Russell on her appointment as the Queensland Trucking Association's President.
NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto welcomed Ms Russell's appointment as the first female President of one of Australia's largest member-based trucking organisations.
"It's great to be congratulating another ground breaker in the heavy vehicle industry," said Mr Petroccitto.
"Both Julie and the QTA have been willing to engage with the NHVR from the beginning and have contributed enormously to practical and sound safety and efficiency reforms.
"Julie will continue to be an important contributor in her current capacity as the Chair of the NHVR Oversize Over Mass Working Group, and also in her new role as President of the QTA."
