Reapplying for accreditation

If you meet certain requirements, you may be able to reapply for accreditation. These requirements are described below.

Reapplying after exiting

There are no restrictions on operators who have exited their accreditation on re-applying to establish accreditation. You may reapply at any time. When the application for accreditation is submitted, it will be assessed in the same manner as a new application. Please note that your previous 5-year performance will also be considered and must be declared on the application.

Reapplying after expiry

Expired for less than 3 months

If your application to maintain accreditation is submitted within 3 months of the expiry date, then you will be able to maintain your current accreditation. However, you are not eligible to receive any benefits from the scheme until your application has been assessed and approved.

Expired for more than 3 months

You will need to submit an 'establish accreditation' application, including a completed entry audit.

Reapplying after refusal

If you have had an application for accreditation refused, upon re-application, you must be able to provide supporting information on how your management system has been improved, to ensure the circumstance which led to the refusal will not recur. You must also be able to demonstrate appropriate performance and compliance with the HVNL since your refusal.

Reapplying after cancellation

If you have had your accreditation cancelled, re-entry to the Scheme will be dependent on why your accreditation was cancelled.
