Dimension requirements

The prescribed dimension requirements for heavy vehicles are set out under the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation. These include:

the dimensions of a heavy vehicle (together with its load)
the dimensions of a component of a heavy vehicle
the dimensions of a heavy vehicle’s load.

Performance Based Standards vehicle dimensions listed in the PBS Vehicle Approval may exceed the prescribed dimension requirements.
