Things such as a speeding truck (in a zone other than a 100km/h zone), a distracted driver (for example, using a mobile phone while driving), a driver affected by alcohol/drugs, dangerous driving (for example, tailgating, merging when unsafe) are road rule violations enforceable by Police in the state where the offence occurred.

To report these issues to the Police:

• If urgent and the issue is happening now, call ‘000’ (triple zero) immediately.
• If the issue occurred earlier or is not an immediate danger to other road users, call PoliceLink on 131 444.
