The updated Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and new Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) scheme take effect on 1 August 2026. From this date, the NHVR will no longer have authority to grant any new NHVAS accreditation. For accreditation options after 1 August 2026 please refer to NHVAS transition to HVA scheme.
