NHVR Industry webinar - Friday 16 August 10:00 - 11.00am

13-08-2013

Join the NHVR and key industry representatives for a live-streamed webinar to hear what one Regulator and one rule book will mean for the heavy vehicle industry from 1 September.

Hear your industry representatives put the important issues to the NHVR and have your questions answered live online via the NHVR website on 16 August from 10:00– 11:00am.

‘Webinar’ is short for web-based seminar, a presentation that is transmitted over the web. Webinars are interactive – you can view and listen, share the link with others or participate by sending in questions or making comments.

The live-streamed event will feature Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) Chairman and NHVR Board member, Peter Garske as panel host; NHVR CEO, Richard Hancock; Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association (ALRTA) Vice-President, Liz Schmidt; Queensland Bus Industry Council  (QBIC) Executive Director, David Tape; and Queensland Trucking Association Director, Tim Knowles.

“We often meet face-to-face with industry at forums and events to answer their questions and listen to their concerns, said NHVR CEO, Richard Hancock, “but it’s a big country and we can’t be everywhere over the next few months.”

“That’s why we think webinars are a great platform for getting the word out and for getting the issues in,” said Mr Hancock, “Anyone near a computer can log on, listen and learn more about our new services from 1 September.”

To view and listen live, visit www.nhvr.gov.au on 16 August from 10:00 – 11:00am and click through from the front page.

Anyone can submit questions leading up to and during the webinar to webinar@nhvr.gov.au and the NHVR will aim to answer them live. Responses to questions not answered on the day will be posted later on the NHVR website.

For those who cannot view the live stream on the day, the NHVR will also upload the webinar sessions to the NHVR website soon after, so viewers can watch at their leisure.

“We’ll be hosting more webinars over the coming months. Keep an eye out for upcoming dates and topics or let us know what you would like covered in a webinar by emailing webinar@nhvr.gov.au”, Mr Hancock said.
