Pre-advised PBS combinations extended

The NHVR has expanded the PBS pre-advised design approvals to include PBS combinations carrying dangerous goods.

Vehicle Safety and Performance Manager Peter Austin said the pre-advised process was improving processing times for applicable vehicles.

“More than 90 per cent of combinations can now receive a Design Approval without submitting the application to the PBS Review Panel,” Peter said.

“The simplified process reduces Design Approval application processing times from four weeks to three business days.”
