The NHVR regularly reviews the security of its online systems, including the NHVR Portal, to ensure the safety of all users. As a result, a new password format will be required for all future passwords.
This upgrade will be applied from Wednesday 18 September 2019.
What is changing?
The NHVR Portal will require new passwords to be more complex, to improve the security for user accounts.
The new password format will be:
- Greater than 10 characters
- Contain 1 lowercase character
- 1 upper case character
- 1 number
- 1 character from special characters
Also a number of common phrases will be excluded, such as ‘password123’.
If your new password doesn’t meet the required format, you will receive an error message.
Please review the onscreen message for information on how to change the password to the accepted format.
When do I need to change my password?
We recommend you change your password now to take advantage of the new security offered for password management.
It is good practice to periodically change your passwords to any accounts you hold.
In the NHVR Portal, navigate to My Profile and select Change Password.
