PLEASE NOTE: Trucks considered General Access Vehicles (GAV) abiding by mass and dimension requirements have general access to all roads and don’t need a permit, unless the road is sign-posted otherwise. (eg. No Truck signs)
These are examples of GAV types:
A prime mover towing one semitrailer up to 19m in length.
A rigid motor vehicle built mainly as load carrying vehicle.
A rigid truck towing one trailer up to 19m in length.
A B-double up to 19m in length (21.3m in Tasmania)
A rigid truck towing a dog trailer up to up to 19m in length
