Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)

The NHVR Portal has the list of current Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that have been approved by the NHVR to deliver and assess fatigue management courses TLIF0005 - Apply a fatigue risk management system and TLIF0006 - Administer a fatigue risk management system for NHVAS accreditation purposes.

All NHVR endorsed RTOs currently deliver face to face training, with a number endorsed to deliver training on-line.

If you are an RTO seeking to deliver TLIF0005 and TLIF0006 for NHVAS accreditation purposes, please read the Fatigue units of competency - RTO guide (PDF, 228KB) and complete the NHVR approved Registered Training Organisation application form (PDF, 169KB).

Fatigue units of competency

All drivers who operate under a BFM or AFM accreditation are required to demonstrate their competency with TLIF0005 - Apply a fatigue risk management system.

All schedulers who schedule drivers under a BFM or AFM accreditation are required to demonstrate their competency with TLIF0006 - Administer a fatigue risk management system.

The purpose of the fatigue units of competency is to provide drivers, schedulers, supervisors, administrators and managers with information critical to effectively manage the risk of fatigue in road transport operations.

While the current fatigue units of competency came into effect on the 1 July 2018, all drivers or schedulers who had completed courses prior to 1 July 2018 will continue to be recognised. A detailed comparison between the old and the new fatigue units of competency can be found at Training in fatigue risk management.
